A 17 year-old boy from Tuscaloosa has died after shooting himself during a game of Russian Roulette. The potentially lethal game of chance begins when the players place a single bullet in the barrel of the gun, point it towards their body, and pull the trigger. The winner walks away with their life. Dr. David Schwebel of UAB says that adolescents involved in such activities are risk takers and a lot of them feel invulnerable.

Since February of this year, there has been four cases involving Russian Roulette in which three juveniles have died in Tuscaloosa and Jefferson Counties. Dr. Schwebel adds that a lack of love and sense of belonging contributes to the teens being detached from a fear of the outcome of playing this game.
