17-Year-Old Girl Dies In Shooting

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- A judge denied bond to a 17-year-old accused in the shooting death of a friend.

Phillip Cannon is charged with murder in the death of his friend Kelly Kimbrell. Deputies described Kimbrell's death as a game of Russian roulette gone wrong.

A judge denied bond for Cannon on Thursday.

NEW BOSTON, Ohio (AP) - Police in New Boston, Ohio now say a teenager shot in the head at a party this past weekend was playing Russian Roulette at the time.

18-year-old Wesley Workman died of the wound from the .22 caliber handgun. Police say the gun belonged to Workman. His father told police he had first noticed the gun in their home two weeks earlier, but no one is sure where he got it. The boy's father told police he believed the gun did not work, because he saw the gun with no cylinder in it.

AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Aiken County coroner says a man shot in the head outside a Clearwater auto parts store actually shot himself playing "Russian Roulette."

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton says 22-year-old Ricky A. Harris was sitting in a car with two friends outside Advance Auto Parts on Jefferson Davis Highway when he pulled out a .38 caliber revolver and emptied the bullets onto the floor.

The Harlan County attorney said a Kansas man shot and killed himself playing Russian roulette.

Bryan McQuay said Tuesday that deputies responded early Sunday morning to the report of a shooting.

At a farm about eight miles south of Holdrege they found the body of 28-year-old Cody Cummins of Overland Park, Kansas.

A bullet from a .38-caliber revolver had been fired into his head.

LORAIN -- A game of Russian roulette went terribly wrong and tragically ended the life of a 17-year-old Lorain Admiral King High School student.

Corey Torres was with a friend at a Leavitt Homes residence, when he began playing with a .38-caliber revolver around 1 p.m. Saturday. Torres emptied the chamber, pulled the trigger and the gun clicked. After the first shot failed, he put the revolver up to his right temple and pulled the trigger again.

It fired, killing him instantly, according to Lorain County Coroner Dr. Paul Matus.

14-year-old shoots himself in head playing Russian roulette

GUADALUPE - Police in Guadalupe say a 14-year-old boy was shot in the head after a game of Russian roulette.

The boy accidently shot himself Saturday morning while playing with a friend.

Police tell 3TV the boy thought he emptied all the bullets out before putting the gun to his head, but missed one.

After pulling the trigger three times he was struck.

On April 18, 15-year-old Poul Boevski, son of Bulgarian weightlifting Olympic champion Gulubin Boevski, sustained a minor head injury while allegedly playing Russian roulette with an air gun at school. When questioned on TV, minutes after the incident, he blamed two of his classmates. However, witnesses said that it was Boevski who played with the air gun and not his classmates.

Northport police say teen died in gun game

A 15-year-old Northport boy lost his life in deadly gun-play, police say.

Northport police officers were called to a shooting at 3:06 p.m. Thursday in the 3700 block of 17th Street, authorities said. The teen was found dead inside the apartment.

Investigators announced today the teen's death resulted from playing Russian Roulette.

TRINIDAD (MyFOXColorado.com) – A 16-year-old Trinidad boy is recovering from a gunshot wound to the head after playing Russian roulette with his brother, witnesses said. The boy’s mother has been arrested after allegedly telling police that her son was shot by a masked gunman while he was skateboarding.

A Woodford County man is in critical condition at UK Hospital after police say he shot himself in the head while playing Russian Roulette.

Police say Ryan Wilson, 25, was drinking with some friends sometime late Thursday or early Friday at an apartment on Macey Blvd. in Vesailles. Police say at some point he grabbed a .22 caliber handgun and shot himself in a game of Russian Roulette.
